At the heart of Porsche Panamera is the new 2nd generation MSB platform, it reduced car weight by 90-110 kg. This was made thanks to the use in the bodywork and chassis of ultra high strength steel, aluminum and composite materials. As a result, depending on the installed engine, type of drive and the presence of additional equipment, the weight of supercar is 1800-1900 kg.

The new sports car is equipped with one of two new turbo engines (V6 or V8). The modification Panamera S E-Hybrid has a hybrid engine in addition to a main one.
The engine power range is from 258 hp for the diesel version (3.0 L V6) to 562 hp for Porsche Panamera Turbo S (twin-turbocharged petrol engine V8). There is 8-speed two discs automatic transmission mounted only. The new car is available with two petrol and one diesel engines.
Basic versions of new Porsche Panamera have rear-wheel drive and powerful versions have all-wheel drive system.
