2021 Mazda BT-50 Pickup Truck: First Look

The new Mazda BT-50 pickup truck was introduced in June 2020. The third generation of the Mazda truck has replaced the predecessor produced already since 2011. The main features of the new pickup are appearance with the brand Kodo Design and technical relationship with the Isuzu D-Max pickup. But only the front part of the pickup truck with neat LED headlights and a stylish false radiator grille makes the model with a SUV similar. The rest of the car shows a traditional body class.
The external dimensions of the body of the Mazda BT-50 2020-2021 are 5280 mm in length, 1870 mm in width, 1790 mm in height, with 3125 mm of wheelbase.
The pickup is equipped with 18-inch wheels with tires 265/60 R18.
Maximum load capacity 1065 kg. A pickup truck is able to tow a trailer with a gross weight of up to 3500 kg.

The Mazda BT-50 pickup truck is based on the Isuzu Dynamic Drive platform with a frame structure. Suspension in front of two lever spring, and rear continuous axle suspended on springs. Under the hood, a 3.0-liter turbo diesel (190 hp 450 Nm) with 6-speed manual transmissions or 6-speed automatic transmissions Aisin. Rear-wheel drive 4×2 or full 4×4.
Later, there will also be a less powerful 1.9-liter turbo diesel (150 hp 350 Nm), which will reduce the initial cost of the new Mazda BT-50 pickup.
