2020 Mazda CX-5 compact SUV

Introduced compact SUV Mazda CX-5 model 2020-2021. There are few innovations in the car, this is not a full-fledged restyling. This is a modified Mazda CX-5 crossover, which has become more comfortable, quiet and economical due to point modernization.

Price

The price of the Mazda CX-5 2020-2021 has the pre-reform level, it costs from € 27,000 ($ 30,200).

Exterior

The updated Mazda CX-5 received new brand logos, as well as the inscriptions “CX-5” and “Skyactiv”, made in a different font. In addition, a new Polymetal Gray Metallic enamel color has appeared.

Interior

Inside, there is a larger 8-inch color display of the Mazda Connect multimedia system (previously it was 7-inch). New LED ambient interior lighting. As an option, combined seat trim (suede and eco leather). Redesigned key card. Versions of the crossover with an automatic transmission have got shift paddles for a forced gear shift. This is what is immediately visible. But there are also imperceptible changes.
The ceiling has additional sound insulation (a special film reduces external noise penetrating the interior by 10%). A car with gasoline engines has an additional damper in the steering gear. The automatic braking system (Advanced SCBS) is now able to recognize pedestrians in the dark at a speed of up to 80 mph. The most important acquisition is the new light sensor, it provides the inclusion of headlights when the street lighting deteriorates to 2000 units.

Specifications

The Mazda CX-5 engine range. Under the hood, a choice of two atmospheric gasoline engines 2.0 (165 hp) and 2.5 (194 hp) and a pair of turbo diesel engines 2.2 (150 hp) and 2.2 (184 hp).
The base gasoline engine Skyactiv-G 2.0 (165 hp 213 Nm) with 6 speed manual transmission received an innovation. This is a system for deactivating half of the cylinders (first and fourth) at low loads. That allows to reduce the average fuel consumption by 0.5-0.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
For the all-wheel drive Mazda CX-5, an Off-road Traction Assist is available that simulates differential locks.
